Manual Handling Training

Welcome to Manual Handling Kent where our City and Guilds trained instructor,  with over 20 years of Health and Safety experience in a number of  industrial, construction and office environments, can give you bespoke training sessions. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992  as amended in 2002 cover activities in the workplace including LIFTING, LOWERING, PUSHING, PULLING or CARRYING Loads.

Businesses are required to comply to Health and Safety Regulations covering a number of work related issues and to help you comply to these Safety Regulations, adequate training and supervision are key requirements.

Our courses cover the movement of inanimate objects in various situations with regard to safe handling techniques and risk assessment.

The course can help identify potential risks and find appropriate MH solutions.

Not only is staff Health and Safety training a legal requirement but it can have a positive effect relating to such things as ill health, attendance, insurance claim, premiums and associated costs to your business.

Some Employers feel that it is adequate to only show an instructional video to their employees to fulfill their legal obligations but this does not in itself show the employees have a full understanding and can demonstrate correct lifting techniques, allowing them to carry out their duties in a safe manner.

Training sessions are interactive and thought provoking, helping to retain course information.

Our Instructor holds a City and Guilds Manual Handling Instructor Qualification and has been delivering Manual Handling courses for over 5 years. He also holds a City and Guilds L3 Award in Education and Training.
